Description
CagriSema is an investigational once-weekly injectable treatment combining cagrilintide and semaglutide. It is being developed by Novo Nordisk for adults living with overweight or obesity and combines two complementary approaches to appetite and weight regulation: an amylin receptor agonist and a GLP-1 receptor agonist.
CagriSema has been studied in Phase 3 clinical trials, including the REDEFINE programme for obesity and the REIMAGINE programme for type 2 diabetes. It is not currently an established, generally authorised weight-loss medicine in the European Union and should not be presented as available for routine prescription or sale unless and until appropriate regulatory authorisation is obtained.
